Join RRCA Certified Running Coach and NASM Certified Personal Trainer Gail Cirlin-Lazerus of Personal Best Race Training to train for the Women's Distance Festival! The 0 - WDF training group plan will start on May 31. We are excited to announce that this year the race will be both in-person and virtual, and so will the training group! You will receive weekly training plans emailed to you, tips, and encouragement along the way, as well as an option to train as a small, safe socially distant group together once a week if desired. The in-person group will meet every Wednesday, starting June 2 at 6:00-6:45 pm, on the outer loop, next to the toll booth adjacent to parking lot #4 (which is the large lot by the Valley Cottage, south entrance of the lake.) The training group will cover 6 weeks, and get you ready for the WDF 5K, which is offered throughout the weekend of July 10 or 11th! Whether you are a beginner or have run the race before and want your PR, or looking for a little support to get back into shape, our coach will prepare you for this race. What a great way to be together again. :)
Masks will be worn when in a group, social distance rules will be in place, and everyone will be asked to submit a Covid-19 waiver and questionnaire prior to each in-person group. Space is limited for the in-person group. All state and county protocols will be strictly followed and enforced. Bring your own water and please no children are allowed.
This program is free to Rockland Road Runner members. If you are not a RRR member, you can still participate but need to join as a member. You will be prompted to become an RRR member when you register for this program.
