Short review

Calling all superhero fans! Please join the Omega Tau Sigma (OTS) fraternity and the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) from Auburn's College of Veterinary Medicine at this year's annual road race, "Superhero 5K". The race will take place on Sunday, April 14th, 2019 at Town Creek Park in Auburn, Alabama. All Proceeds from this event will be donated to Good Samaritan Fund at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which provides care and medical treatment to unowned animals, in addition to Shelby Safe Pet, an organization that provides care for animals belonging to domestic violence victims. The race begins at 8am at the entrance of Town Creek Park and we will finish at the same location. All runners are encouraged to dress up themselves and their canine companions as their favorite superhero. All dogs are welcome if leashed, up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and get along well with other dogs (please note that there may be a large number of dogs at this event). This race is open to both walkers and runners of all capabilities and prizes will be given to the top three males and females that complete the 5K race.

Registration for this event costs $30 and includes the 5K race, T-shirt (if registration is complete before April 1), dog bandana, post-race food/drinks, and lots of fun! Race packet pick-up begins at 7am at Town Creek Park the morning of the race. Registration will close on April 12th, but same-day registration will be available for $40 (T-shirts are available while they last).

This event will take place regardless of non-ideal weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, the race will likely be delayed at first, and then canceled if the weather persists.  We will not be able to offer refunds if canceled as this event is a fundraiser. Thank you for your understanding!
