Short review

The West Johnston Cross Country team is hosting our 1st annual West J 5k Run / Walk. This event will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021. The proceeds from this event will go towards supporting cross country activities such as 2021 Summer Camp, new uniforms, team tent, coolers, race day food and water, Invitational entry fees, and a portion will be donated to the WJHS Food Pantry.

Both our boy and girl teams have been very successful since the inception of the school and we want to continue being a positive representative of the community. We not only want to represent our community by having a winning program, but also through academic success in the classroom and personal growth through the sport of cross country.

We are partnering with the West Johnston Food Pantry to help them provide meals to those in our community that are in need. We expect the 2021 inaugural race to be a great start to what will become a yearly event.

Registration Fees/Dates/Categories:
Registration is $25.00 before April 1.
On or after April 1, including same day registration is $30.00

Registration includes t-shirt

Awards/Categories:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall for male and female.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd for male and female in each of the following categories: 13 and under, 14-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55 and over.

Course:
Course is located at West Johnston High School.

Finish Line:
The finish line will have a blow up and a TV showing race times.
