Vista Lakes Elementary 5k Family and Friends Fun Run 2019

Short review

We are all excited to host our very first 5K Family and Friends Fun Run/Walk at Vista Lakes Elementary! This event will be a great opportunity for our community to gather together and spend quality time walking or running around our neighborhood. This "race" is for fun and is for all levels of participants including walkers, beginning joggers, and marathon runners! All participants will receive a special medal and some giveaways, as well as water and snacks after the race. It will be a fun morning with music, prizes and games. 

MAIN 5K Info:

We will kick off our run with a group warm up under the pavilion at 8AM and then our 5K will start. The route starts and ends at VLE and will be led by a pace biker to lead the way. All runners 6 and up are welcome to participate. Parents, please make sure you are on site during the entire race. You may be on the sidelines cheering everyone on OR better yet, you will be running/walking with us!  Volunteers and officers will help us on crossroads and at our water station. 

LITTLE ONES FUN RUN info:

For our kiddos who are 5 and under, we will host a fun run around the bus loop for them right AFTER the 5K is completed. This will be at approximately 9:15. All 5K participants and parents can help cheer them on! 

Remember this is our School Fundraiser for 2018-2019. (In the past we have participated in Boosterthon pledges/Walk-a-Thons, and sales, but we will NOT be doing that this year.)  The proceeds will benefit our children and our school, and also part of the proceeds will benefit The American Heart Association. We can't wait to see you there!
