The UR Summer Sizzle presented by Utica First Insurance 2024

Short review

Runners:

Our first live race of 2021 will be one of our classic races that returns to Proctor Park and our friends at the Masonic Care Community!  The Utica First Summer Sizzle enters its 33rd year.  Come celebrate Father's Day on June 20th as the Summer Sizzle Five Mile Road Race is proud to be a part of the USATF ADK Grand Prix this year!  The Summer Sizzle is also the first LIVE EVENT of the UR Four Race Challenge!

We will be following all city. state, and federal guidelines to hold a safe race for all our participants.  We will also be offering a Virtual and VirtuReal option for runners who would prefer to do the 5 mile distance on their own.  In the event we are not able to hold our event, we will transfer all entrants into a Virtual category.  There will be no refunds or deferrals into 2022.  We also will likely cap our LIVE race at 150-180 runners so register soon before you get closed out.

The Summer Sizzle has a long-standing tradition of being a family event.  To celebrate Father's Day we will have multiple divisions for families to compete in for special awards and prizes.

Those Divisions include:

Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter, and a Division for all Couples.

The Half Mile Kids Run begins at 8:30 am and the Five Mile Summer Sizzle begins at 9 am!

Packet pick-up will be:

Thursday, June 17th from 4 pm to 7 pm at The Sneaker Store in New Hartford,

Friday, June 18th from 11 am to 4 pm at The Sneaker Store in New Hartford,

Sunday, June 20th at TR Proctor Park from 7:30 am to 8:45 am.
