See Rare Run Virtual Race 2021

Short review

Welcome to the fourth SEE RARE RUN VIRTUAL RACE! This year, we have two distance options: 5K or 5 miler! SEE RARE RUN is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so your race registration (minus the Runsignup.com fees) and/or donations are tax deductible! A receipt will be provided for all registrations and donations.  

There are nearly 7,000 diseases considered "rare," and approximately 1 in 10 Americans are living with one of these diseases or disorders. Help raise awareness for these patients and their families by participating in our virtual run/walk. Your support will benefit the National Organization for Rare Disorders (N.O.R.D.), a Section 501(c)(3) organization that is committed to rare disease patients through programs of education, advocacy, research, and patient services.

WHAT: This is a virtual run OR walk. You can participate on your own terms and in your favorite run/walk location in the allotted time frame for the race. Please note that this year we will NOT be offering race medals. Instead, we will be donating the portion of your race fee that typically covers the cost of medal production/shipment specifically to NORD's COVID-19 Relief Program. We feel that it is more important for us to support our rare disease community as fully as possible rather than having another medal to celebrate our own accomplishments. Thank you for understanding! 

WHEN: Sunday, February 28, 2021 to coincide with Worldwide Rare Disease Day. Since this is a virtual race, feel free to complete your race any time during that weekend (2/26-2/28).

COST:  Registration for the 5K is $15.00 plus processing fees charged by RunSignUp. Registration for the 5 MILER is $20.00 plus processing fees charged by RunSignUp. Please note that all registrations are final. There are no refunds. 

RESULTS: We are excited that you can now share your results AND photos from your race right here on RunSignUp! Our results pages for both distances will be open for submission from Friday, 2/26 through Friday, 3/5. This year, we will be offering prizes to both male and female participants with the FASTEST time and BEST run location (so be sure to submit a photo here or on social media).
