Event Details

Packet pick-up will be held the day before to alleviate day of event congestion and give everyone a better event experience. We strongly encourage you to come to Packet Pick-up on Friday.

Friday September 13 from 10:00AM-5:00PM at Moose Drop In, 242 Penobscot Ave, Millinocket Maine 04462
Saturday September 14 from 8:30AM - 9:45AM at the Run Start located at the corner of Penobscot and Summer Street (Across from the Public Parking Lot on Penobscot Ave)

May Children Participate?
If your child can cover about 3 miles of the course (while running , jogging, walking, or strolling), they can absolutely participate!

Run Route

1.) Start at Police Department Parking Lot, Corner of Penobscot Ave, and Summer Street
2.) Right Turn onto Aroostook Ave 
3.) left onto Pine St.
4.) left onto the Michaud Trail following Congress St.
5.) right onto Summer Street
6.) Left onto State Street.

7.) continue on State Street (Watch for Crossing Guard) and cross Central Street turning right running towards Forest Avenue 

8.) left onto Forest Ave and follow Michaud trail, Trail takes a left through the woods to the rear of the High School.

9.)At the High School Parking Lot turn right breaking away from the Michaud Trail.
10.)stay in the rear of the parking lot and complete 3 "Jail Breaks" (under the wire, around the cruiser , and 9 step ) continue behind the football field Be sure to enjoy the great View of Mt. Katahdin as you travel around the baseball field fence,

9.) turn left onto State Street (dirt road)
10.)at School Parking lot run the parking lot to your first RIGHT onto 2nd Street.
11.) Cross bridge and make a Right onto Aroostook Ave Extension.
Aroostook Ave Extension will become Penobscot Ave.
12.) from Penobscot Ave make a Left onto Riverside Drive.
13.) Riverside drive becomes Katahdin Ave,
14.) Katahdin Ave to Left onto Central Street,
15.) at the light make a right onto Penobscot Ave (watch for Crossing Guard) .
16.) follow Penobscot Ave to Finnish line at Veterans Memorial Park.

Is the Run from the Cops in Millinocket 5K Timed? 
Our event is all about fun and an untimed event. For anyone who wants a finish time, we suggest self-timing.

Is it safe to bring cameras and phones to the color run?
That is up to how comfortable you are with handling your equipment .  The RUN FROM THE COPS IN MILLINOCKET 5k is NOT  liable for any damages that might be done to your phone or camera. 

Will I really get arrested?
Only if you really do something you shouldn't 

Can I run with my DOG/CAT/TURTLE? 
For the safety of our runners and animal friends, we do not allow animals.

Why is there a small processing fee on top of the run entry fee?
Because RunSignUp lets us use this really amazing system and its how they get paid, not to mention THANKS for registering in advance, it really helps us plan!
