The 20th annual event is on!
There will be trophies for 1st Place male and female finishers in all age groups. There will be an awards ceremony this year!
The Kids Race also will return and will take place immediately following the 5k. Participants must pre-register to receive a T-shirt (one size, one style).
Please note that specialty shirts (tanks, longsleeves and XXL and XXXL sizes) cannot be ordered after Sunday, July 18. Shirts will not be available for race-day registrants!
Hot dogs - cooked and served by a professional caterer - will be served after the race.
If you want to participate but do not want to attend the event, you can enter our "Virtual Race." Register here or by mail, run 3.1 miles at a location of your choosing, and report your time to jtgallagher@zoominternet.net by noon on race-day. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards, but will be listed among "Virtual Finishers." Virtual participants can pick up a complimentary T-shirt from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 23, at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, or have their shirt mailed to them for an extra $8.
All proceeds help the Prospect Area Preservation Society. The 5k course passes the boyhood home of baseball hall-of-famer Rube Waddell.
