Preserve our hearts walk COVID heart memorial 2021

Short review

My name is Stacie Roman and I lost my dad John Stephen Westcott on February 12, 2021 to COVID pneumonia.  I have been wanting to do something to honor him.   He's more than just a number.   It's still so surreal that he's gone.  I found the COVID-19 Memorial Belmar NJ Facebook support group shortly after his passing.    Rima Samman started a beautiful heart memorial in honor of her brother Rami who she lost to COVID last year.   She wrote his name on a rock to honor him along with a little over 100 other names of other locals who also lost their loved ones to COVID.   When she posted this she received messages from people all over the world asking to be added to the memorial.   Now 1 heart with a little over 100 names turned into 12 hearts with over 2000 names of loved ones lost to COVID from all over the world.  Currently the memorial is on 3rd Ave in Belmar, NJ right on the beach.  Rima found  a permanent home for this beautiful memorial which has brought some type of peace to so many.   This virtual run is to raise money for that future home.   June 12 @10am we are doing the walk in Maclearie Park in Belmar for local Jersey residents.  Thank you in advance for your support in something that is so near and dear to my heart and the hearts of so many others.
