Mountain to Fountain 15K & 5K 2022

Short review

The Mountain to Fountain 15K & 5K is a premier race in Fountain Hills, AZ with a strong elite field, and “win your weight in beer” team competition. The 15K is a point to point route, all participants will start at the McDowell Mountain Regional park, run across the beautiful city of Fountain Hills and finish in front of the iconic Fountain Hills water fountain. The 5K will start on the corner of Saguaro Blvd and N. Panorama Dr. will run around the fountain and finish in front of the fountain. 2022 Updates We are back for 2022.  We are hoping to host our event with no changes prior to the pandemic, meaning we will have beer garden, bus pickup from finish to start, water stations along the course, age group awards and more. We hope you can join us!   15K and 5K Packet Pickup Packet pickup will be hosted at Sole Sports 3 valley locations.  You must pick up your Race Packet at one of our packet pickup locations as there will be no race day bib pickup.  Any bib that is not picked up on Friday will be available only on Saturday at the Arcadia location. Swag Registered participants will get the following items Event t-shirt -February 19 guarantee t-shirt size The 2022 event will be a black 50/50 blend t-shirt.
Participants that register after the t-shirt cut off date will get an event shirt upon availability T-shirt exchanges - All participants will get the t-shirt size they ordered, all size exchanges are done after the event and upon availability Finisher medal Custom bib number with timing chip   Bib numbers and Finish time No bib no time.  All runners must wear their bibs in front and over any clothing, water belt etc. Placing your bib on the back or having it under any clothing or running accessory there is a possibility that your time will be compromised.  It is the runners responsibility to ensure you get a finish time during the event. Results will not be adjusted once awards are presented.    TEAM DIVISIONS FOR 2022
All teams need to have at least 4 or more runners. At least 4 members must finish the 15K course within the 2-hour time limit to be eligible. Each team must stay within the age guideline's (minimum age is 12 years old).  Females may enter a males team, however, no males are allowed on a female team.   One member of the scoring team is allowed on our "Beer Scale" to win that person's weight in beer.  Scoring will be based on the 4 fastest finishing time of the team. Open male - Ages 12 and up, All males Open female - Ages 12 and up, All females Master male - Ages 40 and up, All males Master female - Ages 40 and up, All females Mixed open - Ages 12 and up, at least 2 males and 2 females Mixed master -Ages 40 and up, at least 2 males and 2 females Mixed public service - All members of the team must be employed in their field Biggest team with most finishers Wild card, any team with at least 4 finishers

 

Elite Program
Mountain to Fountain 15K & 5K welcomes all elite runners to the event we appreciate your support. In the last few years the event has been forced to reduce the elite program in order for the event to continue. Therefore we have updated our elite program to the following. Elite Race Entries Elite free race entries will be limited to 5 male entries and 5 female entries. Entries will be award to the 5 fastest times submitted.  Participants will be notified by email and posted on our website between February 4th and February 10th. 2022. After receiving notification, participants will have 7 days to register or their entry will be forfeited and the next eligible runner will be awarded the entry.    Cash Prize There is no cash prize.   Age Group Awards - NO AWARD PRESENTATION FOR 2021 15K Awards to the top 3 overall male and female and in the following age groups. 19 and Under 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70 and Over No double dipping.  Winner must be present to pickup award. Awards will not be mailed or saved. 5K Awards to the top 3 overall male and female and in the following age groups. 14 & Under 15-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70 and Over No double dipping.  Winner must be present to pickup award.
