Due to CDC guidelines and our local government recommendations, The 2020 Liberty 5k & Kids Mile presented by SPENCE SELLS HOMES has been converted into a virtual race. This difficult decision was made to protect participants, volunteers and our community.

2020 is the 23rd Annual Running of the Liberty 5k and Kids Mile races. The race benefits the Winchester Parks and Recreation Department, Shenandoah Valley Runners, and The Lucas Fund.
LOCATION: Anywhere! This race is virtual. You select your 5k or Kids Mile start and finish line. Please remember to follow all social distancing guidelines. Pick a time and location where you can run safely and keep your distance from people and traffic. You will have from Friday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 5th to complete the event and log in your results. Instructions will be provided when you register.
RACE SHIRT & PRIZES: You will receive a race tee for participating in the race and will be eligible for random prizes from our sponsors and donors. Shirts will be available for pickup at the War Memorial Building in Jim Barnett Park on specified dates and times or can be mailed to you for an additional cost.
AMAZON GIFT CARDS for TOP 3 OVERALL MALE & FEMALE 5K
First - $50
Second - $25
Third - $10
** Times must be verifiable with Garmin, Strava, or similar run tracking apps.
The KIDS MILE participants will be eligible for random prizes drawn after the race.
ENTRY FEE: 5K entry fees: $18.00 for SVR members or $20.00 for non-members. Kids Mile Run fees: $10.00.
