The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier is excited to announce the King Cake Classic 5K, 10K, and Fun Run! This event had a wildly successful first two years and effectively tapped into our area’s enthusiasm for Mardi Gras. The third annual King Cake Classic is set for the morning of February 9, 2019 – with an exciting NEW event location. The race route will begin (and finish) at Red River Brewing Company and will take our runners through historic Downtown Shreveport. Enjoy the Mardi Gras celebration at the finish line with a slice of king cake, craft beer, live music by Shreveport Second Line Brass Band, Kids Area & Activities, and much more. Family Friendly Event. Costumes are welcomed & encouraged.

Sweet + Lucky Spring Race Series: King Cake Classic 2/9/19 + The Pie Run 2/16/19 + Shamrock Shuffle 3/16/19. Participants who register for all three races will receive a commemorative pint glass at the Shamrock Shuffle at Marilynn's Place - stay tuned for other race series perks! Runners who elect to run the 5K in each of the races will be eligible for a race series award. Awards will be for lowest combined times, male and female (5 deep) and team awards.
