Okie Half - Half Marathon & 5k 2024

Short review

I:40 Race Service with the help of the Muskogee Running Club and Muskogee Parks & Recreation will host the the Okie Half on March 13, 2021.  In 2020, we battled terrible weather and an impending worldwide pandemic, and somehow got the event in.  Okie Half 2021 brings a new course that starts/finishes inside the newly restored "Hatbox Hanger", now called the Hatbox Events Center.  This will also be the USATF Oklahoma Half Marathon State Championship and will be a great flat half marathon course for runners of any pace to enjoy.  The 5k course will also be on the flat trail around Hatbox Sports Complex.  There will be lots of goodies and extras with this event, including a long sleeved shirt for the 5k runners and a Hoodie for Half runners.  Custom finishers medals for half finishers and BBQ Meal afterwards.  Social Distance & Mask Requirement (updated 1/10 – subject to change):  If you have over a 100.4 temperature please do not attend the event.  Per city ordinance, We REQUIRE, a mask to be worn before and after your race.  You are not required to wear a mask when running, but please do your best to stay 6 feet from other participants.  Please also respect others be staying 6 feet apart before and after your race.    Event Details Registration Fees: Returning Runner / Black Friday Special: Before November 27th 5k: $22.50 Half Marathon: $50 EARLY BIRD: Before January 15th:
5k: $25 Half Marathon: $55  January 16th to February 20th: 5k: $30 Half Marathon: $60  February 21st to Race Day: 5k: $35 Half Marathon: $65 Packet Pick Up/Late Registration:  The packet pickup will be on Friday evening March 12th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hatbox Events Center - 630 S 40th Street Muskogee, OK.  This is also where the race will start and finish the following morning. You do not have to pick up your packet on Friday.  They will be available on race day starting at 6:30 am.  In-person registration will be available on Friday and Saturday. Start Times: 7:45 am for the Half, 8:00 am for the 5k Time Limit: For the half marathon the time limit is 4:15 (Must finish by noon). USATF Certified Courses: Both the 5k and Half Marathon course will be brand new courses. Check back soon for course maps.  PDF of the Half and 5k course map - coming soon! USATF Oklahoma Half Marathon State Championships - There will be male and female state champion crowned at this event.  In order to be eligible to win, you must an Oklahoma resident and a current member of USATF - Click here for USATF Membership information  Medals & Awards: - All the Half Marathoners will get a custom finishers medal!  - There will be age group medals for the 5k - One a kind trophies for the top 3 Male and Female overall winners of the half (separate from USATF Championships) and the 5k.  Shirts: 5k runners will get a Long-sleeved T-shirt and half runners will get a Hoodie.  Please register by March 4th to get your shirt size guaranteed.  After Race Food:  A Half Marathon entry includes a meal at the finish line from Mother Tucker's BBQ Food Truck.  5k participants and spectators are welcome to purchase a meal.  There will also be cold food and drinks provided to 5k and Half participants.
