Everyone looks forward to getting out on Thanksgiving morning to knock out some miles before celebrating the harvest with friends and family. However, 2020 has presented new challenges and due to special Albemarle County Covid-19 ordinances in place extended through this fall, we are very disappointed that we will not be able to host the 12th annual LIVE 5k or Kid's 1/2 mile events for you. 

While we cannot host the LIVE 5k or Kid's 1/2 Miler for you, we realize many still want to keep up their racing tradition for Thanksgiving and race safely. To "make lemonade out of lemons", we've turned this years event into a Virtual 5k, 10k, 1/2 Mile & Kids 1/2 Mile Gobble Wobble. These can be done from anywhere and anytime between November 19-December 6. Choose one event, or sign up for all distances for the price of one entry with all the expected swag! 

Some new changes in 2020 include the new event name (formerly named the Earlysville Turkey Trot), the NEW "free range" virtual options and team options all for only one price! Keep reading for more info on the live and virtual race options....

Choose to run any of the "Free Range" virtual 5k, 10k, 1/2 Mile, or race all three distances for one price with all the swag included! All participants will receive a t-shirt, medal and bib number.

You can also choose to run any distance as a team to compete against other family or friends teams! Safely run united as a virtual team, but separately from anywhere!
