More than just a race, the Glens Falls Hospital Community Day & 5K brings together the community to support the mission of Glens Falls Hospital of providing advanced, affordable, patient centered care, every day and in every setting.
Glens Falls Hospital invites you to this fun and festive family friendly day that will feature our 5k run/walk that kicks off at 9:00 am sharp!
After the race, the day continues with free and reduced price activities that include a kids 1 mile fun run, face paining, pony rides, a rock wall, scavenger hunt, corn hole tournament, free health screenings as well as a 50/50 cash raffle and basket raffle!
The 5K will start and finish at West Mountain and run through the charming surrounding neighborhood streets. This chip-timed race takes place on flat, level, paved roads with the last 1/2 mile on a gravel service drive. Runners will need to share the road with vehicles. Your are welcome to walk this course as well but need to finish in 60 minutes. This 5K will be for ages 12 and over.
The kids run / walk for ages 11 and under, will be located at the base of the mountain with the 1 mile course along the service drive and off the street. All participants will receive a finishers medal.
Registration: Begins at 8:30 am at West Mountain
5k Race/Walk: $30.00 (Race starts at 10:00 am for 12 yrs. and older)
Walk-in registrations: $40.00 (available from 7:30 am -8:45 am on race day)
Kids 1 Mile Run/Walk: Race starts at 11:30 am (11 yrs. and under)
Post race awards and refreshments immediately following both races.
All 5K registered participants are guaranteed an athletic race tee-shirt if registered before May 25, 2020. If registered after May 20, 2020, race shirts are not guaranteed but we'll try!
Awards handed out to the overall top two male and female 5K finishers.
All children 11 and under will receive a participation medal.
