27th Annual Greater Buffalo Track Club Grand Island 1/2 Marathon
The race begins and ends in Beaver Island State Park, Grand Island, NY (between Buffalo and Niagara Falls). The out and back course is flat and fast, with water views running through Beaver Island State Park and the scenic West River Connector Trail (formerly the West River Parkway). The Half Marathon will start at 7:30 AM in the main parking lot at Beaver Island State Park.
Important COVID-19 Rules -The race will have 3 start times with 50 runners each, 7:30, 7:45, and 8:00. Each runner will start 15 seconds apart. - Masks must be worn in the start/finish area and be carried throughout the race. Spectators are discouraged from attending and are not permitted in the start/finish area. - There is no race day entry and no packet pickup. Race bibs will be mailed to you along with a start time.- Shirts and finish awards will be picked-up after you pass through the finish line.- Results will be emailed to you. There is no awards presentation at the park. - Entrants will be provided a snack and are encouraged to supplement that with their own food and beverages and enjoy a tailgate lunch in the parking lot.- The planned team competition will not be held. There are currently no complete 4-person teams registered and due to the limited field size, the team awards are not warranted.- Additional changes may be implemented to comply with health guidelines There will be no refunds or deferrals.
