Avalon Beach Classic 5K Run/2Mile Walk/Kids 2K and 1K Fun Run 2023

ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. NO PAPER OR CASH SIGN UPS AT COMMUNITY HALL.  24 spots left! 

6:00AM We  have 10 BAGS LEFT for the 5K. Sign up ASAP before we sell out. The give away is a BEACH TOTE BAG and not just another tee shirt and limited to the first 125 registered runners. Come join us for a fun family day of running to support those in need in our community. We have a distance that is right for everyone. Participants get to chose a 5K run or 2 mile walk on the beach.  Awards go to top 3 male and female overall and age group winners. ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY.  PICK UP is  race day  6:30-7:45AM inside Community Hall: 3001 Avalon Avenue. Avalon, NJ 08202.The run starts and finishes at 30th Street and the Beach. Turn around for the 2 mile walk is @ 49th Street, and the 5K turn around is @ 60th Street.  NEW: We have chip timing this year !!

NEW: We have added KIDS FUN RUNS, made possible by our USA TRIATHLON FOUNDATION grant, where their the goal is to transform live through sport.
The Foundation believes every aspiring young athlete should have the opportunity to participate in our life-changing sport. We want to provides a fun fitness outlet that can jump start a healthy lifestyle for years to come and our TKC events provide the platform for families to race together. Running is the easiest starting point to the mutisport world for most youth, it can be done pretty anywhere with just a pair of sneakers. We are grateful for the USATF support of our programs that will help solidify the future of our sport by funding and reducing race fees for aspiring athletes.

The FUN RUNS will be a part of the TKC YOUTH MULTISPORT SEREIS in place of the duathlon. 2K RUN for YOUTH 11-15 turns around @ 42nd Street and a 1K RUN for YOUTH 10 AND UNDER (we take them young if they can run it!) that turns around at 36th Street. Athlete event bags are limited to the first 100 registered.  Medals to all finishers!!

6:00 AM We have 35 bags and medals still available for kids!!

NEW: We have our famous FASTEST FAMILY AWARD for the event. It is FREE. Mom or dad team up with your child in either the 2K or 1K. Top 5 lowest combined times win a prize for each of the youth distances and bragging rights for the year as the Fastest Family. Now everyone in your family has to come out and run with us.

We are supporting two wonderful charities for this event. Proceeds will go to the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, offsetting the $1500 per week cost per child for their free week of vacation herein Avalon.  Donations will go to our three year $50,000 campaign to underwrite a bedroom at the Ronald McDonal House Philadelphia Charities.
