Freedom 5K Run/Walk and .75 Fun Run 2021

Short review

The Freedom 5K Run/Walk is on Saturday, October 9, 2021. It includes the following events: Freedom 5K and 1 Mile - Fun Run.

The 5K course is comprised of four laps around the park. The paved surface contains low grade inclines and declines and meanders through trees and around ball fields in beautiful Lancaster County.The clock will begin at the start of the 5K race and participants' times will be recorded via chip timer.  The one.75 mile Fun Run will occur following the 5K. The Fun Run will be one lap around the park. This family-friendly activity will not be timed. Family and friends are invited to attend this community event along with the participants. The park features a playground, and a variety of concessions and children's activities will be available free of charge. We welcome strollers!

Note: Dogs are not permitted at Gap Park, unless they are in the enclosed "dog park."

CAUSE
All proceeds from the Freedom 5K proudly support a21.org in the fight against human trafficking. It is not okay that people continue to be bought and sold as slaves for labor and sex. In partnership with A21, we are doing something about this injustice by increasing awareness, disrupting the demand, and helping to restore survivors. Join the fight!

REGISTRATION

$35 5K Before September 19th: Guaranteed T-shirt, Goodie Bag & Bib
$45 5K Before October 8th: Guaranteed Goodie Bag & Bib; T-shirt Based on Availability
$55 5K Registration on October 9th (day of event): Guaranteed Goodie Bag & Bib; T-shirt Based on Availability
$10 Fun Run Registration: All participants ages 12 and under will receive a participation award and goodie bag.

EVENT DETAILS

Freedom 5K:      Saturday, October 9th at 9am
Early Bib Pick-Up will be announced the week of the event.
Race Day Registration will open on October 9th at 7:45am

Awarded to the top male and female finishers in the following categories:
19 and under
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60 and over
1st Place Finishers (male/female)

The Fun Run will begin after the final 5K participant completes the course (at approximately 10am).
Refreshments will be provided for all participants.
Emergency medical services will be on standby.
The Freedom 5K will occur rain or shine.
Refunds are not available.
