Hooray for the Holidays!

This year, the Allstate Sugar Bowl Celebration in the Oaks Run/Walk will be held in beautiful Lafreniere Park! This run/walk will gives locals the chance to participate in one of the most festive holiday events in the country! This 2-mile course takes participants through Lafreniere  and ends near the walking light display tour!  

The race, which begins at 3pm, is especially popular among families. Many of those running and walking this event do so with strollers or children right by their side.  Children 3 - 10 years old receive $5 off the cost of registration. Children under 3 years do not need to register to participate in the race or enter Christmas in Lafreniere Park Lights Display. 

Lafreniere Park sparkles for the holidays with millions of twinkling lights and displays! Constructed with over 10 million LED lights, the exhibit features elaborate decorations and festive lighted displays. New displays this year include a Hot Wheels display, a Hello Kitty figure and new animal hanging ornaments along with old favorites like a lighted 60-foot Sea Serpent in the lagoon, a princess and her magical castle and the gingerbread man.

REGISTRATIONS LIMITED - REGISTER EARLY!

What do I receive with my registration? All registrants will receive a long sleeve glow-in-the-dark t-shirt (children's sizes available), commemorative bib, and a complimentary entrance into the Christmas in Lafreniere Park walking tour Lights Display. 

When do I pick up my shirt and bib?  

EARLY PACKET PICK-UP: We will have early packet pick-up the week before the event. On Wednesday, 12/9 and Thursday 12/10 from 5pm to 7pm at the Crescent City Classic offices located at 320 Metairie Hammond Hwy.  Our building has a waterfall and bead dog in the front and is located in Bucktown near R&O's Restaurant. Enter the first-floor garage of the building located on Seminole Ave. and drive through the garage/around the horseshoe. The packet containing your shirt and bib will be given to you through the passenger side window to maintain social distancing.

RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP: We will have Race Day Packet Pick-Up beginning at 1:30pm on the Al Copeland Concerting Meadow Stage in Lafreniere Park. We STRONGLY encourage all participants to pick up at one of the early packet pick-ups dates (see above) as we anticipate long lines on race day.
