Category 5K Run/Walk 2021

Short review

This is the third annual Category 5K Run/Walk hosted by Gainesville High School's Student Government Association.  The Category 5K Run/Walk began in 2019 as a fundraiser to support public schools in the Florida Panhandle affected by Hurricane Michael.  Thanks to our sponsors and registered participants, we were able to send $5,000.00 to help public school teachers in Bay County.  In 2020, we sent $1,400.00 to Bay County Public Schools to help provide school supplies for students affected by the hurricanes in their area.  We hope to continue supporting public schools recovering from recent hurricanes with the proceeds from our 2021 Category 5K Run/Walk.  This year's event will be held as a week-long virtual event in order to comply with COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.  Your registration fee includes one t-shirt (be sure to provide your shirt size in this registration), one cloth face mask, and a race medal for the first 100 participants to register by January 11, 2021 and complete their race by February 14, 2021.  All race packets can be picked up in the front driveway at Gainesville High School, Gainesville, Florida between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM February 4-5, 2021.
