Short review

On February 19, 2019, we unexpectedly lost Calvin Scheper at the young age of 19. Calvin was our son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and friend. Calvin graduated from Covington Catholic High School in 2018 and was in his first year of college at the University of Cincinnati. He wanted to pursue a career that would help others and truly make an impact on their lives. Please help us to remember Calvin and to carry out his mission to help others by joining in this 5K event.

We are asking for your support in memory and honor of Calvin and his kindness to help build the Calvin Scheper Memorial Fund. Locally, the fund will support a Covington Catholic student and NKY Clippers swimmer, both of which were near and dear to Calvin. The fund will be available to sponsor a CCH student in financial need to make the Wyoming retreat, which Calvin attended and was the highlight of his high school experience. Calvin was passionate about swimming from the age of 9 until his death at 19. His fund would also sponsor a Clippers swimmer in financial need so that they can be part of a sport which provided him with so much joy. On a global level, Calvin's mom (and biggest supporter) will embark on a 2 week mission trip to Kenya through a partnership with Love Africa, where she will help feed, clothe, and take care of orphans. There she will be able to assess the needs and determine exactly where donations will be most impactful.

Using the memorial fund to make a difference in our community and across the globe would make Calvin so proud. Calvin loved to run cross country and ran in numerous 5k benefits. Please join us in the inaugural BeCalvinKind5K run/walk to help these children and adults in need. Calvin isn’t alive
to do this himself, so we are asking you to please do this in his honor and BeCalvinKind!
