The BlackWatch Braveheart Challenge is a 6+ mile trail race through Oak Mountain State Park with over 20 obstacles. This event will challenge your speed, strength, and stamina. Race by yourself or with a team!
All race participants will wear timing chips, but racers can choose between Competitive or Open heats. If you are racing to win, register for an earlier Competitive heat.
Participants must be 14 or older on November 2nd. Racers ages 14-15 must race with an adult. We recommend that all athletes registering for the Competitive heats be able to run a 5k in 30 minutes or less. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female Competitive racers who successfully complete all obstacles.
All racers will receive a t-shirt at check-in and a medal upon completion of the race.

We are in need of volunteers for the Braveheart Challenge! If you are interested, please email [email protected]. Volunteers can get school service hours for their time.
Friday, Nov. 2nd, 2-7 pm: Race packet pick-up at BlackWatch Sports Performance
Saturday, Nov. 3rd:
7-8 am Race packet pickup at Oak Mountain
8 am Competitive heats begin
9 am Open heats begin
9:45 am Awards Ceremony
Afternoon Post-race Party TBA
