DESCRIPTION:

The 42nd Annual Sybil Ludington Historical Run will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2020. Both the 50k and the 25k race start at 8:00am.  This is a NY Ultra Running Grand Prix Event.

ENTRY FEES:

50K: $40 per runner ($35/TRRC member) preregistration ($50 for race day registration)

25K: $30 per runner ($25/TRRC member) preregistration ($40 for race day registration)
Register online, or in person on race day. No mail-in registration. 

CHECK-IN & START/FINISH: Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park (Upper Park/4-H Fairgrounds) 201 Gypsy Trail Road, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512. Check-in begins at 7:15 am. 

TRAIN: Metro-North (Harlem Line) from Grand Central, NYC to Brewster station. Confirm schedule prior the race day. Schedules change in April. Taxis are available at the station. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Putnam County Memorial Park.

TIME LIMIT: 7-hour time limit. 

RACE SUPPORT: Water, Energy drink and snacks will be provided at four locations along the 25k course.  50k runners will pass the start/finish area at halfway and will have access to a drop bag there.

THE COURSE: Runners travel a single loop (25km) or two loops (50km) which follows some of the same roads ridden by Sybil on the night of April 26, 1777 as she rode to rouse her father’s militia against the British. The route comprises country roads - some poor surfaces - and some dirt roads.
