Short review
The Nate the Great Race is held in conjunction with the Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend. Proceeds from the race started out building the “dream” of a state of the art track facility, when that was accomplished, the race continued on for numerous other community efforts. The race currently supports; scholarships, summer conditioning programs, youth track meets, health & fitness classes, office of the aging, and numerous other community based programs. Additionally you can find the Canastota Running Club baskets at fundraisers whenever there is a time of need.
This will be a live race! Waves and staggered start time may occur prior to race day. All participants will be informed of any start/wave time changes well in advance of race day. Safety guidelines for COVID will apply pending all CDC and STATE guidelines at the time of the event. We have fully re-directed our focus to redesigning how our “race” is experienced with the top priority being the safety of those participating, and all who are involved with the event. We will document and outline all and any modifications specifying on how they would be deployed thru email and social media notifications. This will include specifics on hand sanitizer stations, distancing, masks, and more.
