24th Annual Merrimack Sparkler 5k Run/Walk 2023

Short review

Note: In light of the expiration of the NH State of Emergency on June 11, 2021 we plan to start everyone in one wave at 8am.  We will not have separate waves and masks are not required but we will encourage social distancing at the start line  

The 24th Annual Merrimack Sparkler 5K Run/Walk (both Live and Virtual events) hosted by the Merrimack Road Runners Booster Club  is held every year on the 4th of July with all profits benefiting the Merrimack High and Middle School Track and Cross Country programs.  The Booster's Club is a volunteer organization that proudly supports all running programs in Merrimack, both at the Middle School and High School levels. The Merrimack Sparkler 5K is the largest fundraiser of the year. All money raised goes directly to the kids participating in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field. With the past support of our community the Booster's Club has been able to give money towards coaching stipends, clothing stipends, replacement of equipment and travel expenses. The Booster Club also gives out (5) $500 scholarships at the end of the year to graduating seniors. This years race will have a new course and start and finish on the Merrimack High School track.  We will be posting a course map very soon. The Kids Fun Run is free (200meter and 400 meters on the track) and starts at 7:40 am and the 5k begins at 8:00 am sharp.    Entry Fees on or before June 12, 2021 adults $25.00, youth (13 & younger) $20.00; After June 12, 2021: Adults $30.00, youth (13 & younger) $25.00 up through 11:59 pm July 1.  Note Registration will close at 6:00 P.M. July 2, 2021.  Early bib pick up will be 3pm to 6pm on Saturday July 3rd at Fleet Feet in Nashua NH. You will be able to pick your bib up race morning but we strongly advise you pick up your bibs/shirts Sat. @ Fleet Feet. 

First 125 5k registrants (live & virtual) will receive a Sparkler 5k t-shirt;
Awards: Top 3 Overall male and female, then top 3 male and female in each age group;
Age Groups: 1-8, 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
