All participants will receive a digital swag bag and t-shirt, which will be sent after the race concludes. Participants who post a photo or screenshot with a time of less than 33:32 within the race period (March 4-7) will also receive an "I beat Beethoven" button.
This event is a fundraiser for the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus (YOGC). Our mission is to provide excellent orchestral experiences for school-aged children in the Chattahoochee Valley. YOGC hosts five programs that typically reach over 350 students/year. COVID-19 has dramatically changed the artistic and educational landscape, and YOGC has worked hard to find creative solutions in order to continue making music in person safely. YOGC remains a safe place for young musicians to gather, reach their creative potential with like-minded peers, and receive excellent music education that complements and builds on their experiences in their school programs. Please consider a tax-deductible donation on top of your race registration fee. Your support means that musicians from over 30 schools and five counties can continue to experience the joy of playing in a symphony orchestra safely.
