VIRTUAL RACE The Difference180 Recovery Inc. is hosting our 4th Annual Run for Drug Awareness. We will be doing a Virtual Race this year to be safe with the Pandemic outbreak. The theme "Becoming Part of the Solution" will focus on what you can do as an individual to help those trapped in these bondage's. Since the pandemic there has been an outbreak in drug addictions. One of the key factor to help someone in recovery, is to get them in a culture of a healthy "Family" or "Community". This year is a big challenge because of the restrictions. So this factor is even more important. There will be Finisher Medals issued out to all Registered Runners. Also for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for the 5K and 10K will be an additional medal issued out for each age group. Best Overall times will receive a trophy.
Virtual Edition Here is how it works... Step 1. Register to run/walk the virtual 10k, 5k or 1 mile, and invite your friends to join! Step 2. Select the face mask option since there is one size. Step 3. Run/walk the distance on your own, either on the official Rotary Run course or on a course of your choosing and then submit your time to be added to the Run results board. Post a picture of your run to our Facebook page. (https://m.facebook.com/5KDrugAwarenessJville/) Step 4: Encourage someone you know that is struggling with addiction and let them know there is hope.
How To Submit Results
Results can be submitted any time until OCtober 17th. If you enable text messaging when you sign up, you will be able to submit your time via text. You can also submit online by logging into your RunSignup account.
