Virtual Hospice Walk & Run 2020 2020

Short review

For the past 23 years, HomeCare & Hospice has hosted the annual Hospice 5K Walk and Run along the banks of the Allegany River at St. Bonaventure University. This event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for HomeCare & Hospice, as it helps us raise substantial funds for our services in the community and allows our guests to honor lost loved ones. This year due to the health situation within not only our country but the world we had to make the decision to go to a Virtual Walk & Run event. We look forward to a well attended  VIRTUAL event this year where we can choose to run, walk or bike the 5k.  Where families and caregivers can walk or run in memory of a lost loved one, share a story, a funny memory, a time you will never forget and build community.  You may decide to Zoom, Skype, Facetime your family/friends while you walk, or make a phone call with a friend who is also walking!! 

Plan on walking, running or biking sometime during the week of May 25-May 31st.  Also plan on joining us for a Virtual Memorial on May 29th at 10am.  Although we cannot be together, we want to remember those we have lost, our loved ones that we miss even more at a time like now.  Please email us at ebrokaw@homecare-hospice.org with your loved ones name that you are walking in memory of so that we can add them to the moment of silence we do for our lost loved ones.  

Today, our HomeCare & Hospice family is still caring for almost 70 patients within our four counties.  Our aides, nurses and staff are still going into homes, still doing the essential work that needs to be done to take care of patients and their amazing families.  We ask that you consider joining us this year as we Virtually Run, Walk or Bike.  Your support is truly appreciated!
