Zurich 5K and 2k Run & Walk - going virtual again this year! (Complete the event anytime between Friday Sept 10th and Sunday Sept 12th)
Due to COVID19, like many events, we have made the decision to go virtual again this year. Whether you are a beginner looking to complete your first 5k, an experienced distance runner, or somewhere in-between, you're invited to participate in Zurich 5k Run/Walk! Not up for 5k, there is a 2k option which is perfect for juniors! We may be socially distant but we are all in this together. Get out, get active, and have some fun while keeping safe and healthy and supporting a good cause - Ovarian Cancer Awareness Bermuda. Pick a place, pick your pace and run your race!
This event is in memory of Devoye Darrell and the proceeds of this event will support Ovarian Cancer Awareness Bermuda (OCAB), registered Charity #996.
Many women die from ovarian cancer, mainly due to late diagnosis. OCAB want to help build awareness and encourage early detection of ovarian cancer. How? Through raising awareness of ovarian cancer signs and symptoms that in turn will hopefully save lives. OCAB also want to assist women who are underinsured, that have been advised by a medical professional to get diagnostic testing for ovarian cancer. The key is, know your body & know the signs. Prizes (**Only residents on island will be eligible for prizes):Prizes will not be the traditional age group prizes but we will have some prizes available so stay tuned to the MAAC & OCAB Social Media pages for prizes!
T-Shirt PickupDrive by shirt pick up will be on Thursday, September 9th from 4pM to 6PM at the Waterfront Property, Pitts Bay Road (Plaza above Miles Market). This will be contactless pick up, please indicate your size on registration and we will try our best to accommodate your size. If you are entering from overseas, your race shirt will be mailed to you (note this may take longer than normal due to the delays in the mail service).
