Online registration is closed but you can still sign up Friday at the Youth Club for Packet Pickup from 3-6pm or on Race day morning behind the Robert Ray Gallery at the starting location from 6:30-7:30am.

The Algoma Shanty Days 5K is a fun-filled family event. This year marks our 27th Anniversary! The 5K includes a start and finish at the Robert Ray Gallery. You’ll race in front of the Ahnapee Brewery and the historic Von Stiel Winery and then run over the Second and Fourth street bridges, be sure to look right to catch a glimpse of the last two remaining shanty’s. You will get a whiff of Bearcats famous smoked fish as you continue along the course, you’ll run by Perry Field then up towards Algoma High School where there is a quick out and back. From there it is smooth sailing as you travel downhill along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline to the finish.
