WEATHER UPDATE: IN THE EVENT OF RAIN (updated 4/21/2021) We have been very fortunate to have had great weather for every Will Frederick Memorial 5K. Due to the logistical arrangements with The City of York and local law enforcement we are unable to reschedule the race, so the race will run on Saturday RAIN or SHINE! We appreciate your support for this great cause!   YES, WE'RE RUNNING!  THIS IS AN IN-PERSON EVENT ON APRIL 24 - REGISTER NOW! (updated 4/09/2021)                           Welcome to the 3rd Annual Will Frederick Memorial 5K Run For The Kids As Will's family and friends, we have fond memories of Will's smile and laughter. He loved life and loved investing in the children and students of the York, SC community. To honor Will's life and to extend his legacy, we have created a 5K event for the sole purpose of investing in the lives of young people. The first Will Frederick 5K raised over $10,000 that was used to scholarship and fund more than 40 students for various summer and leadership development camps. The 2020 event, while postponed due to COVID, raised more than $12,000. Camps and leadership training events are slowly opening up and we have already sponsored several students and are committed to sponsor at least 25-30 more students through August 2021. All proceeds from this event are used in the York community or through local community organizations to provide opportunity for children and students. We would love for you to sponsor, donate, or register to participate in this worthy cause.  
WILL’S STORY
At 23 years old, Will Frederick had a lot of life to live. Recently married to Hannah Crews, Will was looking forward to having a family of his own but in the meantime, Will was pouring himself into children and students in the York area. Will unexpectedly passed away in August 2018 following complications from surgery.
