Join us for a unique 5K and 1K Fun Run experience.  The 5K takes in the historic Oregon-California Trail (National Register), a nature trail and mowed pathways with scenic vistas from one of the highest points in Douglas County. The 1K Fun Run is especially family/youth/pet friendly on an improved surface – Wesley Nature Trail. Both are easily accessed from Hwy 40, just west of K-10 on the West side of Lawrence on the FUMC West Campus grounds. For even more fun, join the Oregon Trail Relay (free to registrants).

Family Promise of Lawrence

Family Promise will again be the Westward Ho! primary beneficiary. This is an especially crucial time for Family Promise as they scramble for resources to address the needs of unsheltered as well as families at risk of becoming homeless in the economic wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.  Your registration certainly helps, but please consider an additional donation.

Covid-19 Precautions:

For the currently planned “live” event on April 17, we will take precautions to ensure the safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators.  5K registration is capped at 300 and a staggered start format will be deployed in order to maintain proper distancing. Masking required except while running/walking the course. All activities will be held outside. We will comply with all federal, state, and local government protocols in place at the time of the event.

We offer registrants a virtual event option (April 9-17), and flexibility for registrants of the live event and the virtual event.  Registrants may transfer their registration from one to the other through April 15 at no additional cost. Click on Switch Events for guidance if you choose to change after registration, or contact the Race Director.
