2021 TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk is Virtual!
As we continue to navigate the current pandemic, to comply with local restrictions and for the health and safety of our runners, the 23rd annual TEF Tenafly 5K Run and Dog Walk will again be held virtually. Our goal - as always - is to encourage you to get outdoors and be healthy! Run a 5K anytime during the month of June 2021. Pick the day, time and place that works best for you and hit the streets - safely - for your own 5K! We will send all registrants a bib to print out at home to show their support as they run!
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to learn more about fun challenges to inspire you as you support the Tenafly Educational Foundation - we will be asking for your best running routes, your best family pics or your funniest pet running companions!
After you run, send an email to info@tenafly5K.com with your name and times and a picture and we will recognize your effort on our website and social media pages!
All proceeds from the event support the Tenafly Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that funds teacher-initiated programs and projects in the Tenafly public schools that the school budget is unable to cover. These grants allow teachers and administrators to bring their creative and innovative ideas into the classroom in order to enhance the learning experience. Visit www.tefnj.org for more information. The Tenafly 5K is the single largest fundraiser for TEF. The event raised $40,000 in 2019 and has raised more than $600,000 since its inception in 1999.
