George I. Theisen Family YMCA PB&J Kids Fun Run 2023

Short review

The Peanut Butter and Jelly Kids Fun Run is back for a sixth year event! Organized by YMCA volunteers as a part of the Y's Togetherhood Initiative, this initiative allows Y members to collectively give back to the Travelers Rest community. This event will support the North Greenville Crisis Ministry. Each summer, hundreds of kids are not in school for lunch and there is a huge need for easily prepared meals for these children. One large need is for jars of peanut butter and jelly. 

Event Details: Friday, June 4th at 6:00 pmLocation: George I. Theisen Family YMCARace Course: All races will start and end at the George I. Theisen Family YMCARace day registration will be available from 5-6 pm at the event. Race will be limited to 150 participants. 

Entry Fee: One jar of peanut butter and one jar of jelly per participant. Jars will be collected May 1-June 4 at the YMCA or bring your jars to the event and you will receive your bib upon turning in your collection. Packet pickup at the YMCA June 1-June 4 or race bibs will be available to pick up from 5-6 pm before the race.  

Event Schedule and Race Distances:  6:00 pm Division 1-Ages 3 and under: 1/4 mile  6:05 pm Division 2-Ages 4-6: 1/2 mile  6:10 pm Division 3-Ages 7 and up: 1 mile  **children must participate in the division of the age they are on race day   *Parents are encouraged to run with your child in the Division 1 and 2 races. Division 3 will be children only.
