Verdun Adventure Bound "Dead of Winter" 5K - Second Annual 2021

Short review

RACE RESHEDULED AGAIN!!!  NOW  FEB 20.

Old man winter...mother nature...it's a conspiracy, I think.  The weather turned ugly and dangerous at the last minute.  The course is icing over, and the roads are unsafe, so we had to reschedule at the last minute. Our timers (Chuck and Mike.... you guys rock!) have graciously agreed to come back next week, so... one more time. 

Pre-registration will now reopen until noon Wednesday, Feb 19

Cross Country 5K
Looks like we're going to make this an annual event!
Feb 20 (or, whenever....) will be cold, no doubt, but you can sleep late, let it warm up a little, and then race a cross country 5K at Verdun Adventure Bound at 11:00 AM.  
To take the chill off, hot chocolate will be served around a roaring campfire at the finish line next to the pavilion.  

Supporting
This race is a fundraiser with all proceeds going to support Verdun Adventure Bound.  Verdun is a educational 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to support youth and adult personal growth incorporating experiential learning and stewardship of the land on its 66 acre retreat facility. Race Course
Verdun has a beautiful cross country course with just enough hills to make it interesting.  There is a lot of variety in surface and terrain... in and out of the woods, along side two ponds, over a couple streams (don't worry... foot bridges).  See the map below for the expected course (which may change if conditions dictate).  
NOTE: Course will be modified for safety reasons.  New map coming soon.  - steve

NOTE: Runners can win in multiple categories.
