Short review

YOU MAY REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RACE IN PERSON BEGINNING AT 4:00PM. 

 

A Unique Run with a Great Mission: To strengthen relationships among citizens of all cultures in our  community. 

Proceeds will be used to fund Character Education through Envision Opelika Foundation, provide Scholarships  for students to Southern Union State Community College and to promote wellness and healthy lifestyles in the community. 

AWARDS

5K - Overall male and female runner and top 2 male and female finishers in each age group:

<10, 10-14, 15 –19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Most unique male and female outfits.

 

1 Mile Fun Walk/Run/Wheel

Closed loop starts and ends on paved 1 mile track at Sportsplex. 

 

5K Race

5K begins at the Opelika Sportsplex  and heads out on the newly built road to Joe's Grocery and then back to the Sportsplex to where the last mile will be on the paved 1 mile track at the Sportsplex.

 

It is a stampede, so show us your unique outfits!

There will be live music  before and after the races.  You are encouraged to bring  blankets and chairs to partake in the festivities. 

 

T-Shirts:  Guaranteed if registration received by Friday, April 30, 2021.  If registered after April 30, 2021 you will receive T-shirts as supplies last, in available sizes. 

Refund Policy:  Refunds and transfers are not allowed. 

 

Day of Race registration: Begins  @ 4:00pm under “Registration Tent” at    Opelika Sportsplex.  Pre-registration is highly encouraged.   

Packet Pick-ups: You may pick up your packets at Southern Union in the Health Sciences parking lot on the corner of Fox Run and  Bulldog Parkway (formerly Lafayette Parkway) on Friday, May 21st from 4:00pm to 6:00pm or  the day of the race beginning at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 22nd under the “Packet Pick Up Tent” at the Sportsplex. 

 

 *All race entry participants are eligible to win door prizes throughout the event, but they must be present to win. 

**All Social Distancing Protocols recommended by the City will be followed for the race. Runners will not be expected to wear masks during the race but bystanders will be expected to wear them, unless City Protocol changes prior to the race. We will keep you updated on this.
