Tonganoxie Sunflower Run 4 Mile/1 Mile 2019

Short review

Get your miles in with our community at the inaugural Tonganoxie Sunflower Run. The four mile run is a challenging and unique run, with the first and last miles on paved streets and the middle two miles on a winding grass trail. The one-mile route will take you down our main business district and back. Entry fees and sponsorship benefit the Tonganoxie Education Foundation; the Friends of the Tonganoxie Public Library; and Team Tongie. The Tonganoxie Sunflower Run will begin at 7:30 a.m., Sept. 1, 2018, at the Tonganoxie Fire Station, 825 E. Fourth Street.

The race is chip-timed. Early packet pickup will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 31, at the north entry to the Tonganoxie Fire Department, 825 E 4th St, Tonganoxie, KS 66086 .

Please park at the VFW Park on Yoeke Street and walk south on the spillway bridge to the fire station. Strollers are not recommended on the trail portion of the four-mile route (it's pretty bumpy in spots). We apologize in advance, but pets are not allowed on the courses.
