RACE
Help us celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday & National Read Across America Day by donating a new or gently-used book to benefit school libraries in need. Donations can be dropped off anytime at Manatee's Media Center or morning of race.

COURSE
5K starting at Manatee Elementary School on Viera Blvd in Viera.  This flat scenic course runs along Tavistock Rd to Fran Jamieson Blvd and returns to Manatee Elementary School via the sufficiently wide sidewalk.

PACKET PICK UP - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND
10:00 AM - 3:30 PM : Running Zone (3696 N. Wickham Rd)
4:00 PM-6:30 PM in the Manatee Elementary front lobby

DAY OF EVENT SCHEDULE - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23RD
6:30 AM - 7:15 AM – Registration & Packet Pickup
7:30 AM – 5K Start!
***Free Kid’s Fun Run - ages 6 & under & awards immediately following race

Early Registration: Through Feb 9
Children under 18: $15/Adults: $23
Timely Registration: Feb 10 - Feb 22
Children under 18: $20/Adults: $27
Day of Race
Children under 18: $25/Adults: $30

SHIRTS
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration by February 9th are guaranteed a free race shirt.

AWARDS
Top 3 Overall Male & Female
Top Female and Male Masters (40+)
Top 3 male and female age groups will receive awards. Age groups include 7 & under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

An award will be given to the mid pack runner.

PROCEEDS
Proceeds and donations go directly to our Spring Fundraiser to support Manatee Elementary School.

TIMING & SCORING
We will be using Chronotrack timing for the race. Your B-tag is attached to the back of your race number in your race packet. You do not need to removed the B-tag from the back of the race number.

How long is the course?             
5K is 3.1 miles

May I particpate in a Seuss Costume?
Yes, we would love for our participants to enjoy showing off their Seuss Spirit on the race course.

Can I participate in the event with my dog? 
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. 

Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.   

Can I get a refund?
We have a strict NO REFUND policy.
