A bit about the UnWINEd 5k course~
~It’s personally designed by Scoogie 
UnWINEd 5k course is NOT on any pavement! 
The entire run is on either grass or dirt/stone drives. 
The course is NOT SMOOTH for the entire 5k! 
There will be some small holes and imperfections that you will need to navigate and some slight divots and ground imperfections. 
YOU WILL NEED TO FOCUS ON THE RUNNING 
SURFACE IN FRONT OF YOU. 
The 5k course is by no means difficult as far a large imperfections on the course, BUT there are some small imperfections that you WILL NEED TO BE ATTENTIVE TO. It’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL and well worth running…
(just remember to be attentive)

~Personally designed by Scoogie 
(after running the Federal Twist Vineyard over 10 x’s) 
UnWINEd 5k course is NOT on any pavement! 
The entire run is on either grass or dirt/stone drives. 
The course is NOT SMOOTH for the entire 5k!

Imagine this: 
You've had a long work week, you're ready to unwind a bit....You come to the beautiful Federal Twist Vineyard on a spectacular Spring early evening or Saturday morning with good friends & family. 
You first watch the kids run the 1/2 mile Grape juice Run with beautiful vineyards in the background. You then get ready to venture into the woods for the Terra Vino 5k or UnWINEd 5k through the gorgeous & pristine vineyards of Federal Twist Vineyard.
You then run you desired 5k course and then you kick back & UnWINEd with good friends and enjoy some Federal Twist wine, delicious local food and some good music. Does it get any better than that?

💥BEFORE READING ANY FURTHER, PLEASE READ THIS IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THIS EVENT!💥 Although we’re beginning to see the light at the end of the Covid tunnel, we are not quite there yet. We may be much closer come race day in May, but for now we aren’t there yet. Safety is Scoogie Events TOP PRIORITY. With that said, there will be various Covid guidelines that will be in place for this event. 
(Unless things get a whole lot better before race day…which we all hope will be the case)

HOW WE WILL CREATE A SAFE YET POSITIVE & HAPPY ATMOSPHERE SO THAT EVERYONE FEELS 
COMFORTABLE AND ENJOYS THEMSELVES
💚 The Scoogie Events CREW has very successfully produced 4 events in the past few months!
We take YOUR SAFETY VERY SERIOUSLY!  ~
Safety First Packet Pick-up: Two Day Event: ~We will be separating this event into two separate days in order to keep the number of 
runners down to the state mandated number. Masks: ~We very strongly encourage everyone to please wear your mask while waiting to run, running*, as well as after the run. 
*It is NOT mandatory to wear a mask while running…only encouraged. Social Distancing: ~We will practice strict social distancing during the entire event. Temperature Taking: ~Everyone entering the venue will be required to get their temperature checked (non-contact, one second infrared thermometer) Water Stations: ~We will make a decision as to whether we will have water stops a bit closer to race day.
For now, please plan on there being no water stations on the run courses. Hand Sanitizers: ~Hand sanitizing stations will be situated throughout the race venue. Positive Vibes: ~And YES, you can be assured that the POSITIVE VIBES you’ve come to expect will be ever present at this event as well!

Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt/1/4 zip size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt or 1/4 zip) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. Many safety measures have been put into place that you will notice from the moment you all arrive to the beautiful
Federal Twist Vineyard. We've taken great strides to create a safe event for everyone.
THE SAFETY OF EVERY PERSON AT THIS EVENT IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY!
We have a rock-solid plan. We've taken a lot of time to come up with a safety protocol that will create a safe event for EVERYONE!
But, it needs to be a TEAM EFFORT!     PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ ALL OF INFORMATION BELOW: VERY IMPORTANT NOTE #1 REGARDING HOW YOU FEEL PHYSICALLY &  EMOTIONALLY ON RACE MORNING
If you do not feel comfortable attending this event OR YOU HAVE A TEMPERATURE the morning of the event...

REGARDING WEARING A MASK
Absolutely everyone at the event will be required to wear a mask at all times while not running. (You may take your mask off while running but please keep it with you)
If you don't feel comfortable wearing a mask, please do not come. 
We do not enjoy wearing masks either...(especially when it's hot)
But, during these unprecedented times, we need to deal with it so that all of you awesome runners can ROCK on May 14th or 15th!

REGARDING TEMPERATURE CHECK EVERYONE will need to have their temperature taken BEFORE they step foot onto the event grounds. (Temperatures will be taken by top of the line non-contact, one second Infrared thermometers).
If you do not feel comfortable with this, please do not come.
Note: Taking one's temperature DOES NOT necessarily indicate a positive or negative.
It simply is just one of the many steps that we are taking to eliminate any possible unsafe situation.
But please understand that IF your temperature is too high when we check it, we will allow you to rest in your car where it's cooler and try it again.
But, if it remains high upon your second check, you will not be allowed on the event grounds.
If you see this as a possible problem, please do not come.  --------------------------------------------------------------------- VERY IMPORTANT NOTE #4 
REGARDING SOCIAL DISTANCING WE NEED EVERYONE to consciously pay attention to SOCIAL DISTANCING from the second you step foot onto the venue until the time you leave.

REGARDING WATER STOPS
There will be NO water stations on the course.
We will have water at the finish line.
 
 FINAL NOTE  Please come to the event with a willingness to work together as one big team full of kindness towards everyone and let the positive vibes roll. If you are feeling anxious about attending this event or if you don’t feel like you will enjoy yourself due to safety concerns, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL DISCUSS THE OPTIONS. IF YOU FEEL SICK THAT DAY, HAVE A TEMPERATURE THAT DAY OR DO NOT BELIEVE THESE STEPS GO FAR ENOUGH AND THEREFORE YOU DON’T FEEL SAFE,
