The Legend continues... enter if you dare! Sleepy Hollow State Park has 2,600 acres of hardwood forest, prairie grassland and 410 acre Lake Ovid. The course circles Lake Ovid and several other small lakes in a beautiful lightly hiked and biked area of Michigan. NEW for 2019, trucker style hats to all entrants, plus optional soft cotton shirt available to add during registration (add it by July 15, 2019). Wooden medals to all finishers! Overall awards to first male and female finishers based on gun time. Age group awards five deep in all five-year age groups based on chip time.
Sleepy Hollow State Park is 20 minutes north of Lansing, about an hour and a half drive from Metro Detroit and well worth it. Consider camping Friday night! Sleepy Hollow requires a MI Recreation Passport for entrance.
The Legend Trail Run is the third and final stop in the RF Events Serious Series: a tour of our favorite southeast Michigan trails (Pinckney, Novi/Northville and Laingsburg). Finish a distance at all three events to earn a Serious Series Finisher pint glass and medal! NEW for 2019: the Serious Series is going cupless. Learn more at www.runlegend.com.
