The Tell City Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run will offer IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL options on April 10, 2021. There are three options you can choose from for this event - individual half marathon, team relay half marathon, or a 5k fun run.

The 2021 half marathon race has some minor route changes from the past years' route.. The race will start in front of the Perry County Convention and Visitor Bureau (The Depot), 333 7th Street and finish at Sunset Park which is located behind the Depot on the river side of the floodwall. We have also moved parts of the route on residential streets trying to provide a flatter course. However, a run in Tell City would not be the same without ascending Tell City's renowned Mozart Street hill (a one mile long,  200 foot climb, with minor grade breaks) along with rolling grades on county roads. The route will take you on the Windy Creek Greenway and finish along the Ohio River on the River Greenway. Plenty of hydration stations will be provided along the route.

The 5k route will also begin and end in the same places as the half marathon. The 3.1 mile route is on residential streets within Tell City's beautiful downtown before finishing along the Ohio River on the River Greenway.  This course has minor elevation changes. 

If you have never run a half marathon or you're looking to get back into running shape Everbody's Fun & Fitness Center sponsors a "Half Crazy" training group. Training for the Tell City Half will begin in January with a 14 week program that will build up your endurance to complete the 13.1 miles. Watch for details!

All registered participants will receive a shirt. All finishers will receive a medal.

If you were registered for either race in 2020 and deferred your registration to 2021 you will automatically be registered for the 2021 race.. Look for an email showing your deferral status and requesting an updated shirt size. 

This is an event the entire family can complete! If you don't want to run or walk 13.1 miles (half marathon) you can walk/run a 5k (3.1 miles) distance or get 2-4 people together and do the half relay. The route is rather compact which makes it ideal for family and friends to move around for support. You can also participate by volunteering. It takes over 100 volunteers to make this event happen!

Dogs and strollers are welcome in both races!
