Team Hope Challenge 2021

Short review

This year Team Hope is taking on Bermuda Day Weekend with a new twist! Previously, those registered in the Bermuda Day Marathon could join Team Hope and 'Run with a Purpose' raising sponsorship on behalf of The Friends of Hope Academy. This year, the new virtual 'Team Hope Challenge' opens its doors for more friends and families to be able to participate and help us meet our fundraising goal! All ages are encouraged to register with us, and over the Bermuda Day weekend May 28-30th, 2021, you can run, walk, roll or cycle on your own or in your 'bubble'. There is no limit to the distance and participants will receive a Team Hope shirt. Each registrant will be able to share their individual registration page to gain donations toward a great cause! There are prizes for the top 3 participants that raise the most sponsorship! T-Shirt collection, will be at Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy Wednesday (May 26) and Thursday (May 27) from 12-2pm and 5-6pm.

The Friends of Hope Academy is a registered Bermuda Charity that supports the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy (DMBHA). Dame is a Government school that serves students with severe/profound multiple disabilities. The aim/goals of our charity are to: 

To provide support to the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy in the implementation of its school improvement plan;To provide support to the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy in the implementation of its curriculum and extra-curricular activities;To provide any other support or assistance to other individuals or organizations for purposes beneficial to the education and care of children with special needs;To assist with community projects that promote awareness, education and improving the lives of children with special needs;

All funds raised directly support the children and families at Dame.
