Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint 5K 2024

Short review

Start your Valentine's weekend with the Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint! Grab a friend or special someone and register as a team. There will be a costume contest so wear your best Valentine's attire. There will be awards by age group so make it a family event!

This event is chip timed by Performance Race Services. To encourage social distancing runners can start any time between 9:30 am and 10 am.

This 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier!

Strollers and dogs allowed at the back of the start.

We have added a Fun Run for ages 8 and under. The Fun Run will start at 10:30 am (after most runners have finished the 5k) and will consist of two laps around the Suwanee Town Green. All participants will get a t-shirt and medal. So dress up those little ones and bring them out for some fun exercise and hot chocolate!

ARRIVAL

Early packet pickup will be Friday night, February 12, 5-7 pm at Big Peach Running Co. in Suwanee Town Center.

On-site registration the day of the event will begin at 8:30 am. 5K will begin at 9:30 am.

Please SOCIAL DISTANCE prior to and after the run anywhere around Suwanee Town Center. Awards will be at 11 am at the main stage in Suwanee Town Center.

AWARDS

Prizes will be awarded to 1st Place Male and Female for both Overall and Masters. Age Groups for male and female: 10-under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+. Also will award Fastest Dog and Most Senior Finisher.

WHAT TO WEAR

Wear your best Valentine's costume to participate in the costume contest.

COURSE

This 5K is a Peachtree Qualifier! This event is chip timed. In order to encourage social distancing, runners may start any time between 9:30 am and 10 am.

The event will begin and end at Suwanee Town Center. The course will start on Town Center Avenue in front of City Hall, then turn right on Boston Common and follow the road down to the greenway connector. From the greenway connector the route will follow the Suwanee Creek Greenway to just past Annandale Lane where runners will u-turn at the fire hydrant. The route will follow the greenway back to the greenway connector, then up Portland, left on Suwanee Avenue and right on Charleston, finishing near City Hall.

STROLLERS AND DOGS

This is a family friendly event! Strollers and dogs allowed at the back of the start.

FUN RUN

For those children 8 and under registered for the Fun Run, it will start at 10:30 am at the Suwanee Town Green. Packets can be picked up at the same times as the 5k packets.
