Storm the Stadium 2021

Short review

In its 5th year, Storm the Stadium is one of ECU’s most challenging new traditions. The stairs in Dowdy-Ficklen also present one of the longest stair climb challenges in eastern North Carolina!

All proceeds from Storm the Stadium go to support ECU Student Veteran scholarships and programs.

Due to COVID-19, Storm the Stadium 2021 will offer different challenges to ensure the safety of the participants and volunteers

There are multiple ways to compete in Storm the Stadium:

Individual– Set a personal goal and Storm the Stadium on your own Household/Pod– Register up to 10 individuals residing in the same household or COVID Pod and Storm the Stadium together during the same wave time

Virtual 5K- Run a 5k when and where you want through Run the East’s race app RaceJoy
Individuals and households/pods will start in waves of 10 challengers at a time starting at 9:00am through 1:30 pm, starting every ten minutes. On average, it will take challengers between 20-40 minutes to complete Storm the Stadium.

Participants in the stair climb will be asked to bring their proof of registration to the entrance no sooner than 10 minutes before their wave time begins.  Participants will be spaced out to ensure social distancing requirements.  This event will not be timed and as such, all participants will be asked to take care when passing others at the stadium.

Please wear your mask until you enter the course.

No water will be provided during the event, so please bring your own water bottles.

The Ultimate Challenge will not be offered this year.

Individual (on the registration form, enter amount of people under quantity.  Households/COVID Pods may register for the same wave, but all registrant information must be provided): $25 per person
