Short review
In light of current circumstances, we have decided, for the health and safety of our community , to move this year’s Distance Classic to a ‘virtual platform’, rather than postponing or cancelling it all together. Registered participants can come to Starkey Ranch District Park, which is still open daily from 7am to 7pm, on their own, to run the race route on our paved trails.
Both the 5k and 10k race route in Starkey Ranch will be chalked for runners to follow on Friday, April 3rd, Saturday, April 4th or Sunday, April 5th.
We encourage all runners to practice social distancing and only run with family members or in groups of no more than two people.
As a reminder, all proceeds from the Distance Classic are being donated to River Ridge High & Middle Schools.

Participants will be able to pick up their race bags with their shirts and medals:
Friday, April 3rd at the Starkey Ranch Welcome Center from 11am to 3pm
Saturday, April 4th at the District Park from 8am to 11am
Saturday, April 4th Welcome Center from 12pm to 4pm
Sunday, April 5th at the District Park from 8am to 11am
Sunday, April 5th at the Welcome Center from 12pm to 4pm

The Starkey Ranch Distance Classic is a combination of our successful 5K and our 10K races. Enjoy the beauty of one of North America's top master-planned communities and this paved trail course. The race begins and ends at the Starkey Ranch District Park event lawn at 11800 Lake Blanche Dr. Odessa, FL 33556
All racers receive an official t-shirt, and finishers will get an awesome finisher medal.
Early Bird Registration for only $25 is open online through February 29th. Fee increases to $30 beginning March 1st through March 30th.
