Spud Run 5K

This race had been postponed due to continuing developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The new race date is May 30, 2020. The race location has also changed and the new course is a dirt road/cross country style course. This race now a 5K only. The race will be a time trial (social distancing) start.

BENEFICIARY
Funds raised from this event will directly benefit opportunities and programs for agricultural education, such as 4-H, Future Farmers of America, and Farm City Week. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Putnam - St. Johns County Farm Bureau. This organization is formed with the purpose of solving problems concerning agriculturalists and the agricultural industry. We believe farming is necessary to the viability and sustainability of promoting our counties, state and nation. Hence, we operate to insure and better promote the profitability of our farmers.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
- Race day packet pick up / race day registration - Saturday, May 30, beginning at 6 AM. There will be no race packet pick up prior to race day.
 
- Time trial starts from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

ENTRY FEES
- 5K (Through May 17) - $25
 
- 5K (May 18 - May 29) - $30
 
- 5K (Race Day) - $35
 
- Virtual 5K (Through May 17) - $25
 
- Virtual 5K (May 18 - May 29) - $30

Cash or check only accepted on race day.

In the event of inclement weather, emergency, or natural disaster, RaceSmith reserves the right to cancel or postpone the race. In the event of cancellation or postponement, there will be no refunds.

TIME TRIAL (SOCIAL DISTANCING) START
The race will run with a time trial start. Runners will be sent off every 30 seconds. 25-30 runners maximum will start in each 15 minute time range. Registrants must select their start time range at registration. The first start time is at 6:30 AM and the last start time is at 10:30 AM.

COURSE
The 5K will be run on a dirt road/cross country style course to accommodate the time trial starts.
 
AMENITIES
Beautiful and unique shirt, finisher's medal, goody bag, and post-race refreshments. Availability and size of shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by May 17, 2020. Our goody bags are unlike any other race. Free potatoes to all registrants!

AWARDS
5K awards will be presented to the overall male and female finishers and the top three runners in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and older.

RACE TIMING AND SCORING
The race will be professionally timed and scored by RaceSmith, Inc. The race will be timed using disposable, electronic tags attached to the bib number. Please wear your bib number to the front, pinned at all four corners, visible, and unaltered. Printed results will be posted at the race site and live online during the race at www.RaceSmith.com
