Short review
It's TURKEY TIME!!! Our third annual Skinny Turkey 5K/10K is scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020. Run off those extra holiday pounds through the beautiful Boaz area in your craziest Thanksgiving attire. The route will follow through Snead State Community College, the Boaz SportsPlex, and Boaz Elementary School on all paved roads with some small hills. The 5K and 10K will begin and end at the Boaz Recreation Center with water stations along the route. Finisher medals will be given at the finish line and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each age group (male and female) will receive prizes at the awards ceremony. There will be no refunds, the race will be held rain or shine!
**Please note, a new date has been added for packet pick up as of November 2nd.**
We will have packet pick up in two different locations the week of the race. Packets can be picked up Wednesday, November 18th, at Fleet Feet of Huntsville 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The next dates will be Thursday, November 19th, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Friday, November 20th 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Boaz Rec Center. Participants can also pick up packets Saturday, November 21st (race day morning) from 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM.
The race is administered by the Boaz Parks and Recreation Department. The course is certified, numbers AL18035JE and AL18036JE. Age Groups: 12 &under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 & over
