Join us for the 6th Annual RUN, White and Blue 5K and Fun Run to kick off the 2022 Bastrop Patriotic Festival hosted by the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce!

Bastrop celebrates Independence Day with an Annual Patriotic Festival, which kicks off with a 1K Fun Run and then certified 5K race. Runners are invited to stay for the entire day. The Patriotic Festival opens at noon with a Water Wonderland, kid’s activities, eating contest, stilt walkers, petting zoo, tons of awesome food and live music all day. At dusk, there are the most amazing FIREWORKS in Central Texas!

 

The RUN, White and Blue 5K is a fast and flat run through historic downtown Bastrop. Start and finish are located at Fisherman's Park along the banks of the Colorado River in Bastrop, TX. All runners should plan to be at the start line no later than 7:50 am for the 1K Fun Run and 8:05 am for the 5K.

 

Awards

Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female race winners for the 5K.

 

Age group awards will be given for the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.

 

No duplication of awards.

 

Swag

 

Each athlete registered prior to Friday, June 17, 2022 will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag.

Timing and Results

 

A timing chip for the 5K will be attached to the back of your race bib. (Note: Participants in the 1K will not receive a bib.) To receive an accurate finish time, please confirm your bib is attached to the FRONT of your shirt and is clearly visible. Do not remove, alter, or tear the tag in any way. Timing services will be provided by AllSports Timing. Results posted at www.allsportstiming.com after the race.

 

Aid Stations

 

Aid stations will be located at approximately the 1st and 2nd-mile marker.

 

Safety & Weather

 

To ensure the safety of all runners, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates, baby carriers, and dogs are prohibited from the racecourse. Parts of the racecourse are open to vehicular traffic throughout the run. It is VERY important for you to stay alert throughout the race, stay inside cones, obey all race, and traffic signage. Jogging strollers are permitted but must start in the back.

 

Races will be held rain or shine, however, if there is severe weather in the area the race start may be delayed or cancelled. As a reminder, registration fees are non-refundable.

From TX-71: Take the TX-95 N exit, turn N on TX-95 (towards Buc-ee's), turn left on Farm St.

 

From US-290: Turn onto TX 95 S, turn right onto Mesquite St, turn left onto Main St, turn right onto Farm St.
