Short review
Nash Community College welcomes runners, walkers, volunteers, and sponsors to the 5th annual Run for Knowledge and One Mile Fun Run. The event raises money for student scholarships and provides an opportunity for community members and visitors to enjoy the campus. The 5K will start at 8:30am followed by the One Mile Fun Run at 9:30am.
Runners will enjoy this 5K on a mix of paved and trail surfaces. Runners run the outside loop of Nash Community College before entering the woods for a scenic (and hilly) second half of the course. Registration for the 5K includes personalized race bibs (for registrations received before April 10), a short sleeved race shirt, and lunch.
The One Mile Fun Run is open to all ages, and will be on an all-paved course. All runners will receive a t-shirt (while supplies last) and a non-personalized race bib. Fun Run participants can also choose to include lunch with their registration for a small additional cost.
If a scenic course, warm hospitality, and a race shirt are not enough, runners are also treated to a free entry to the Bluefest events on campus. Proceeds from all race activities will benefit the Nash Community College Foundation which raises money for student scholarships.
Visit www.nashcc.edu/run for more information including a map of the course and past results. Awards are given to the top three overall 5K male and 5K female winners as well as the top three male and female winners in each age category (under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Register today for your chance to win a medal made by the NCC Machining department!
