Short review
The Robinson Flat Trail Race covers several miles of the high elevation sections of the Western States Endurance Run. The terrain is quite rugged and the heat is inescapable, creating the perfect ingredients for ultra runners to test themselves. Come join other trail loving runners who love to test their limits on one of our three challenging courses: 50-K, 26-mile trail marathon and 35-K.
Our race is small, with less than 50 runners allowed to participate, but it is filled with fun, engaging and personable experiences. We welcome your family and friends to watch, cheer and celebrate your accomplishments at the finish line and at the post-race dinner celebration. In addition, we’ll have campfire chats, Smore competitions, and offerings of craft beverages.
Camping is free and is available on a first come basis. The area sits among stately pine and fir trees while overlooking a beautiful meadow and historic pioneer homes and structures. Some of the best water in the world can be pumped from the meadow’s well. This campground is located on the Western States Trail and is the last stop of the Foresthill Divide Road Driving Tour.
Our pre-race, High Sierra social and campfire hangout starts on Friday, August 9th at 6pm and our post-race pot luck celebration gets going around 5:30 pm on Saturday, August 10th.
Due to a significant and costly new permit requirement from the Foresthill Fire Protection District, this year’s race will be limited to 45 participants. A wait list will be set up to add addition runners as space permits.
General registration opens on January 16, 2019.
Distance:
Marathon , Ultramarathon , Half to Marathon
Price:
from $175
Organized since 2019
